Shoreline Wind and Youwind partner to deliver full-lifecycle digital planning for wind energy

Wind projects are shaped by decisions made long before construction begins. Shoreline Wind and Youwind are partnering to connect early-stage design, yield optimisation and operational planning in one more seamless digital workflow.

Shoreline and Youwind have announced a strategic partnership and product integration, with a shared goal of creating a more connected digital workflow for wind energy teams, from early-stage design and yield optimisation through operations. The integration is being developed in close collaboration with shared customers, validating the highest-value data exchanges.

First integration use cases focused on project design

Initial use cases focus on the design phase: enabling turbine layout data to move from Youwind into Shoreline and allowing Shoreline’s turbine availability and OPEX outputs to feed back into Youwind’s yield and business case analysis. The aim is to replace generic assumptions with project-specific data at the stage where it shapes decisions most.

The integration also enables Youwind’s platform to benefit from enhanced turbine-related data modelled by Shoreline, including turbine availability data and expected OPEX for a given turbine layout and hub. Shared customers confirm that this will enhance the accuracy of early-stage yield assessments, strengthen project evaluation capabilities, and support a more connected workflow between project development, construction and operations.
