The World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) Global Summit got off to a strong start, setting a positive, yet realistic, tone for the offshore wind sector. Across Day 1 discussions, the overall mood was clear: the ambition is there, and the direction is well defined, but the industry is also fully aware of the challenges ahead. Supply chain constraints, regulatory frameworks, and grid infrastructure remain key topics we must collectively address to ensure delivery at scale.

Throughout the first day, conversations repeatedly came back to the same fundamental questions: Where are we heading? What should we be focusing on? And what needs to change to get there? Despite the complexity, there was a shared sense of confidence that progress is possible, provided we stay focused on resilience, execution, and realistic timelines.

That momentum carried straight into the evening programme, which turned out to be a real highlight of the summit. Despite the rain, the venue was fully packed and the atmosphere was great. The evening was filled with meaningful conversations, good food, music, and plenty of laughter. It was the perfect moment to talk wind, exchange impressions of WFO, and simply catch up with familiar faces and see how everyone is doing. A big thank you to our partner and co-organiser of the evening, e-BO, for helping make this such a successful and enjoyable event.

Day 2 then built on the strong start, with a clear focus on practical solutions and innovation. At Youwind, we were proud to present the latest updates to our platform, showing how our layout optimiser helps developers minimise wake losses while maximising AEP and optimising LCoE at near-global scale. We also introduced how revenue optimisation is already possible today, reflecting our commitment to solving real challenges faced by the wind industry.

For those who missed the evening reception, we’ve shared some great photos of the whole event below, capturing the energy and the joyful moments. We’re already looking forward to what comes next!
